Mysurvey.com

I've been using NFO Interactive, mysurvey.com, for a couple of years. NFO Interactive is an online survey website where you earn points for participating that can be used toward cash, prizes, sweepstakes entries or donations. This survey site is intended for residents of the US and Canada.

Registration

Registration is easy, but, as expected, there are a lot of demographics questions to answer. You must fill out your name, address, email address, date of birth, race, employment, education, marital status, household information and annual income. Phone number is optional.

Surveys

The surveys themselves are professional and the questions are predictable. There are generally a couple of initial screening questions, in case your demographics have changed and to make sure that you don't work in the industry that is being surveyed, unless that is desired, and, then, some number of multiple choice survey questions on the products or services of interest. For example, the last survey I took was about the kinds of toothpaste I had used in the last 6 months.

Rewards

The typical short survey that takes 5 minutes to complete earns 10 points. You can earn up to 1000 points depending on the length and content of the survey. 1000 points can be turned in for $10. Points must be redeemed in lots of 1000. You are also entered in a bi-monthly $10,000 sweepstakes for being a member and each day that you log into the website. Each time you log in or take a survey, you are also entered into the 10,000 points monthly giveaway.

Bottom Line

The pay rate for this site isn't great if you're just doing the short 10 point surveys. At 5 minutes per survey, it works out to a pay rate of $1.20 per hour. Lengthier surveys that give you more points at once are more worthwhile from a rewards perspective, but they don't get offered regularly. On the bright side, I have no indication that participating in NFO surveys has affected the amount of spam that get in my inbox. Overall, if you enjoy doing surveys, I would encourage you to sign up for NFO Interactive, but don't expect to get rich quick.
